When Was the Last Time You Did Something for the First Time?

Today, I said to myself just start typing...So here I am writing my first blog. I can’t explain the excitement in this new age of pivoting. What I do know is that it feels good just starting.

About me? I love Jesus, I'm a Wife, a Mom to twins (Taylor Rose and Moriah Grace), and lover of all things that bring joy, from flowers to life-changing events and everything in between. Education is my passion, while being creative is what motivates me. I’m a true number 2 and 7 enneagram, with my “how can I help” and “I can do all things” attitude. I’m a server at heart.

How did I get here you ask? At the beginning of the year, I hosted a vision gathering with my #momsquad where together we helped each other dig deeper into our vision and goals for the year by being intentional with how we would get there. I knew then that while I still had a love for flowers, being a wedding and event florist was taking a new shift for me. That shift would create more space for intimate weddings and events, helping women tailor their homes to their needs as wives and mothers, all while giving ourselves grace. What I didn’t know then was that I would be forced to pivot even sooner than I thought thanks to Covid19.

Why now? If not now, then when? I learned a long time ago that you have to take the jump. If this pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that there’s no time like the present to have presence. We spend so much time planning, plotting, preparing and some of us never take the leap out of fear of failing or not being good enough. Well I’m here to tell you to go for it. There truly is no time like the one that’s before us.

I’ve been blessed to have shared my talents for almost a decade with so many people along the way in my career and business. I hope you stay on this journey with me whether you have a love of flowers, love of design inspiration, or just because you love me :)

Floral regards- Kharima
